Hi there, my name is Laurent (pronounced as [Lo-raw(n)]; this is the French version of the Latin name Laurentius, in English Lawrence). I also tried to translate my name into Chinese which resulted as Luo hang:

I'm mixed white and - to some extent - Asian but I don't know exactly where the Asian influence came from. After a long period of having the feeling to be "different" to my (mostly Caucasian) environment and seeking for my roots, I finally found evidence in books about Central European's history (i.e. mixed populations of Western Asians and Eastern Europeans).

I'm living in Austria (Europe) - and there are no kangoroos here (as many people mix up Austria with AustrALia) ;)

Well, I think I just like to see what the world is like and I very much value diverse cultures. What is important to me is that people treat each other with mutual respect and do not play tricks.

As I do not prefer to only "think" about things but also like to see them in practice, I already visited some spots to get a better picture of "what is out there" (which will nevertheless just be a little glimpse of it ... but I try - and I like it.)
