Our client is seeking an Inpatient Coding Compliance Professional in the Seattle, WA area. Relocation assistance is provided. This position reports to the Manager of Revenue Control (oversees auditing, Chargemaster, coding, and compliance for WA and MT service areas). This is a regional position that will be based out of their Renton, WA office. It will be year round travel. You will be driving to Everett, Olympia, and Centralia but will have to fly to the other locations (20-50% travel - local and regional). Travel is mostly day trips; Monday-Friday.
The salary range is $60,000 to $75,000 (based on experience). The client prefers to hire at the midpoint - $65,000 to $75,000. This position reports to the Manager of Revenue Control (which oversees auditing, Chargemaster, coding, and compliance).
Technical Skills:
RHIT or RHIA Certification is required, CCS certification is preferred
4+ years of strong inpatient coding and heavy DRG experience
3-5 years IP / OP auditing, compliance experience, and focus audits with IP Coders
This position requires 3-5 years of extensive knowledge of the DRG classification system, APC classification system, ICD-9 CM diagnosis, and procedural and CPT coding
This position requires in-depth, current working knowledge of industry coding issues, trends, and regulatory requirements within the acute care arena
Extensive experience communicating with medical staff to include RNs and MDs
Electronic Medical Record Systems experience to include STAR and Meditech
