MAJOR TASKS: In accordance with the goals, policies, and procedures of Terex the Sales Engineer is responsible and accountable for the following essential functions and other duties as directed that correspond to the overall function of this position.
This position is for the U.S., Great Lakes Region.
Develop and maintain a complete understanding of Terex Roadbuilding products to include pricing, specs, and feature/benefit analysis. Coordinate the completion of sale, including commissioning of the equipment.Provide support and knowledge to customer base on all Terex Roadbuilding equipment.Participate with information gathering, descriptions of the related product group, and reviewing of product literature in market place.Assist in developing optimum customer contact information including model and options.Develop strong B2B relationships with external as well as internal customers.Perform other related duties as directed that correspond to the overall function of this position.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Civil) or related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
Prior experience in heavy equipment, engineering/manufacturing, knowledge of asphalt plant equipment manufactured by Terex Roadbuilding or like products, and construction industry background knowledge.
SKILLS:
Excellent communication skills; verbal and written. Strong computer skills; MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint). Process improvement, lean manufacturing knowledge. Must be able to use considerable independent judgment to plan and make broad decisions to perform duties. Must be results oriented and able to perform with minimal error. Work under general direction only, within general policies and objectives with no functional guidance; refer problems for clarification and interpretation of company policy only.
