Working with physicians and other care providers, we ensure that our members obtain the care they need with a coordinated approach. Coordinates proposal development activities including drafting proposals for new and existing clients (e.g., employers, government), gathering related statistical and system-related reports, and directing the preparation of supporting documents and analyses. Works closely with sales, product, legal, pricing, and other functions to tailor contractual provisions to reflect prospect's needs, company interests, and appropriate resources and timelines. This function includes jobs responsible for network analysis and disruption projections related to new business cases, which may require expertise in software used for modeling and geographic impact analysis. Supports initial contract admin and client service in clarifying requirements and ensuring fulfillment of obligations. - Company thought leader.- Functional SME.- Broad business approach.- Resource to senior leadership.- Develops pioneering approaches to emerging industry trends. Review RFP and related documents furnished by the procuring agency; analyze to understand and capture specific operational, administrative, and proposal requirements. Interview Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in business functions throughout the organization to determine AmeriChoice/UnitedHealthcare business and operational approach to satisfy the requirements. Contribute ideas regarding business solution based on own ideas, experience, and research. Review prior AmeriChoice proposals to extract relevant content for use in proposal development; work with Proposal Database Manager to determine relevant elements. Outline proposal sections or answers to address all elements of direct, derived, and implied requirements. Draft concise, complete, and clear proposal responses to the requirements and/or questions in accordance with AmeriChoice proposal development standards, stylistic guidelines, and formatting conventions. Inspects and edits own work for clarity and conformance to requirements; works with the Proposal Editor to address editing issues. Collects proposal exhibits, attachments, appendices relevant to assigned sections and submits to Proposal Desktop Publisher for tracking, and for formatting if required. Participate in individual and group proposal reviews and incorporate changes and improvements to proposals. Works with Proposal Formatter to address proposal layout and publishing issues. Works with Proposal Graphic Designer to provide concepts for creating supporting graphics for proposals. Escalate conflicts and issues to the Proposal Manager as required.? Completes work according to deadlines provided by the Proposal Manager. Assist as requested in general proposal activities, including editing, proposal assembly and quality assurance, etc. Participate in ongoing continuous improvement of the AmeriChoice proposal development process. Conduct other sales development duties as assigned. You can be a part of this team. Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Communications, or related major. Five to seven years experience in within a professional writing environment. Proposal writing experience strongly preferred. Expert level skills in Microsoft Word; proficient in use of other Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel. **You must submit two writing samples.
