The Walt Disney Company is seeking an experienced legal secretary to provide day-to-day legal administrative support for multiple attorneys and a paralegal in the Disney Consumer Products Legal Department.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, answering and screening calls, maintaining calendars, scheduling meetings, assisting in the preparation of meetings, presentations and trainings, maintaining very organized and up-to-date legal files, preparing expense reports, preparing a variety of legal documents including extensive red-lining, responding to e-mail, photocopying, faxing, helping with kitchen, recycling, shredding, etc.

Preferred Attributes:

We are looking for a professional secretary with a minimum of 3 years of legal secretary experience, who is highly organized, extremely detail oriented, and has excellent verbal and written skills. Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred.Candidates should have excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and be able to independently trouble-shoot computer software problems and interface with the computer help-desk. The ability to maintain professionalism under pressure, to prioritize, to meet deadlines, to make decisions and to change course of action quickly will be important. It is imperative that the candidate maintain a positive attitude while being proactive, resourceful and flexible. Daily work will require the ability to multi-task, take initiative, work independently with good judgment, and maintain confidentiality and use discretion at all times. The candidate should be able to work effectively without repeated instructions and be proactive about getting his/her questions answered.

This position is part of a team, including secretaries, paralegals and attorneys. This position coordinates phone coverage and lunchtimes with other secretaries in the department. Candidates should have a cooperative work style, be able to effectively communicate with supervisors and team members, and be prepared to cover additional duties as needed. A professional demeanor with ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment is a must.
