Message from Barack: "How this happened"

Posted November 06th, 2008 at 09:56pm

Before his Election Night speech last night, Barack sent out this message to suppporters:

I'm about to head to Grant Park to talk to everyone gathered there, but I wanted to write to you first.

We just made history.

And I don't want you to forget how we did it.

You made history every single day during this campaign -- every day you knocked on doors, made a donation, or talked to your family, friends, and neighbors about why you believe it's time for change.

I want to thank all of you who gave your time, talent, and passion to this campaign. We have a lot of work to do to get our country back on track, and I'll be in touch soon about what comes next.

But I want to be very clear about one thing...

All of this happened because of you.

Thank you,

Barack

What Barack needs from us

Posted October 31st, 2008 at 06:40am

It's hard to believe, but Election Day is just four days away.

And in the crucial battleground states surrounding Illinois, we need as much help as you can give for the final days before Election Day, November 4th.

People are hungry for change, and this campaign has brought thousands of individuals into the political process to make a break with the failed policies and politics of the past.

Here in Illinois, we've already given so much to this campaign. But it's going to take all of us working together to make this happen.

On Election Day, thousands of Barack's supporters in battleground states will need our help at the polls. In past elections, not everyone has gotten that help. But you can make sure that this time, everyone gets to make their voice heard.

Sign up now to join us to get out the vote for any of the last four days of this campaign:

No experience is required. Everyone can help in this final push.

P.S. If you can't make it out of Illinois, you can still make a difference for this campaign. Click here to find a phone bank near you.

Last Day to Early Vote!

Posted October 30th, 2008 at 08:03am

Illinois For Obama,
Vote early in Illinois
Early voting is fast, easy, and it could make the difference in this election. Show your friends and family that you've made up your mind and you're ready for change now.

Take the first step today.

Request your Absentee Ballot, or find your early voting location.

Early voting is simple, safe, and convenient. It's also a vital part of our strategy.

The more supporters who make their voices heard now, the more energy and resources we can devote to our Get Out The Vote efforts closer to Election Day.

Vote early today and see if you can get five or more friends to vote early with you.

All across the country, supporters like you are working together to grow this movement for change. We know that Illinois families can't afford four more years of failed Bush-McCain policies.

That's why we need you to help make sure we have an advantage in Illinois before Election Day.

Take a moment now to find out where your early vote location is in Illinois

http://www.voteforchange.com

This is our chance to take America in a new direction -- so the next four years don't look like the last eight.

We can't do this without you.

P.S. -- Once you've gone through the process, tell us about it. Did you take people with you? What are you going to do on Election Day, now that you've already voted? Share your early vote story today:
