I just decided to a type of online journal for fuuuuunnnn! Okay, so I've pretty much been spending less time this week on the pc due to the fact that I've been running around trying to get not only my little sister's birthday together, but also to get ready for Otakon. So now it's begun and ended Day 1. I ended up going with Matt from the environmentalist club and his sister. Since Matt was working until 5 I ended up driving to his place to meet up with his sister. Of course in the burning heat, I decided that I would dress up as gothic lolita, with my black layered skirt (I used a combination of different black skirts), laced up top, and neat jacket I got from the thrift store in which I sewed some lace onto at the last minute. Inside Otakon there was the usually craze of anime fans and whatnot. His sister dressed up as Riku from Kingdom Hearts 2 and we pretty much just walked around and took pictures. I kept running up to random people, even people who weren't wearing costumes to take their picture just because I liked their outfits. This one girl even came up to me and was like,"Why are you taking my picture?" I told her I liked her dress and she looked flabbergasted. What also intrigued me were that there were more blasian couples at Otakon. I saw a couple of asian dudes with a black girl on their arm and it was cute. We met up with one girl from our school who's in a blasian relationship, dating a Korean and we went out to eat. Me and Charmall (Matt's sister) had chinese food. I was desperate for some lemonade but in the end settled for apple juice and then afterwards headed back to Otakon. We met up with Matt and his friend (forgot his name) and went to the dealer's room. I didn't realize it until it happened but I hadn't spent a dime, since I was caught up with Matt's friend wanting to buy some knives, and Matt freaking out because he was scared of seeing the girl he liked at Otakon (Charmall and I confirmed that the girl he liked was at Otakon). He freaked out so much that he ran out of the dealer's room when he saw her, he looked so frantic that his friend, Charmall and I followed him asking him if he was okay, and when he said, "I saw Ryan and my heart skipped a beat," we were like,"WTF???!" Almost beat him up for that. We didn't do as much as I would have liked, but I sat down with Charmall so that we could plan out tomorrow's events. When we finally got home Matt would not believe that I couldn't drive home by myself, so he and his friend pretty much had me follow them all the way to my house. I even told them that I had my mom's navigator to get me home, but no one would believe that right? Anyway, I got home and I'm pretty excited to see what tomorrow holds <3 Njeri
