Its been my second week in an Island south of Japan called Okinawa. Finally, a weekend without duty. I went out lastnight with a couple of guys that are stationed here. In Okinawa Japan there are bars and then there are "by me drink me bars." I learned quickly during the night, that you must buy a $10 drink to stay and buy a girl a $10 (water). its only water because shes currently working. she will sit with you. flirt with you, touch your hands, rub your back. then "Mama San" will come out and ask for money $10 for 10 mins. Granted we went in there because the they were playing some good music. Maybe its just me but, I've never been more ashamed of my own people, all 10 of them were Filipino women. Not one were japanese.Do women let themselves be exploited? Is their life that extremely difficult that they resort to this?
