When to call it quits

Posted September 27th, 2009 at 09:33am

Celebrated Mervin's 25th birthday tonight. Had a lovely dinner with friends at the Drunken Fish. Afterward, we went to HOME nightclub...VIP style. Since I rarely drink, I volunteered to be the DD. I was driving three people home that night- two of them I had to basically carry to the parking garage. We made it around the first turn in the parking garage and backseat driver side passenger #1 announces that he has to puke. I pulled into a empty spot ASAP. He and the front seat passenger threw up simultaneously. It was pretty funny. I even got them on video. Half way home on the highway, backseat passenger #2 says he has to puke, backseat passenger #1 joined in. Thinking that everything is going to be kosher, I resumed driving. Less than one mile before my highway exit, I hear a BLAH sound and feel the splatter of yummy puke from backseat passenger #2. ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?!?! Yes, puke all over me and the interior of the Lexus. There was no more puking after that, I just dropped everyone off. When I got home, I went to clean up the vomit before it set in. I noticed that there was a fair amount of blood in it. WTF! I thought. I tried calling my friend to see if he was okay, but he didn't answer his phone. I hope he is okay. What a night... All the people in this story are ages 25 and up. wouldn't you think that they know their limit by now? Was it really worth it- drinking so much that you puke and feel like shit? I don't think it is. So the lesson of the day is pace yourself 1-2 drinks each hour.

PR bull-ish- Kanye!

Posted September 16th, 2009 at 07:23pm

I am sooo tired of PR bull-ish! What happened to the Freedom of Speech? The liberty to speak without censorship or limitation. Granted criticism follows, but that's expected; Not everyone is going to share one's views. Don't make a comment then apologize later just because of the public's reaction.

Okay Kanye, so you're pro-Africa/black people. *fist in air*. We get it, but you didn't have to disrespect Taylor. You could have sat there and kept your mouth shut if you didn't want to deal with the heat afterward. President Obama said Kanye did it because 'he is a jackass.' haha that's flippin awesome! I knew I voted for a honest man with sense. Kanye didn't even apologize until after Taylor's appearance on the view where she admitted that Kanye had not attempted to contact her. He wasn't sorry. We have seen this same scenario soo many times. Kanye, It's fine to have your opinion, but feel bad when someone calls you a jerk.

"Wah Wah Wahwahwah, You're a jerk, You're a jerk."

Oh, props to Beyonce, it was really classy to donate her time to Taylor so she could thank her fans uninterrupted.

Then today in class we were discussing organ transplants and cadaveric donors. Well, to be more politically correct, people have started calling it 'non heart beating' donors. Stupid! IT IS what IT IS. just leave it at that.

When will she learn?

Do you ever get tired dealing with certain people's reocurring issues? I'm referring to my mother. I listened to her complain about her life is soo bad- mainly due to all the bills she owes on. "I need help," she says. NO, she needs to take an active step to doing things for herself. She should know by now that she can't depend on a man. She blames her old roommate for moving out. I'm sick of it! She accepts no responsibility! She fails to realize that her decisions have lead to these outcomes. It has been over 7 years since I have been inside of her house and my son has NEVER been even on the porch because it is so disgusting. She chooses not to clean- dishes piled up, clothes/clutter everywhere, she has like freakin' 30 cats that shit everywhere. She can't hold a job because she would rather abuse drugs. Now she is in a position where her power, water, sewer, property taxes, and probation fees are all due in a week. I have caught her expenses up sooo many times, but nothing ever changes. Things go right back to where they started. This time I am not helping her. Call it tough love.
