Traveling

Posted August 06th, 2009 at 03:59am

I think it would be great for every country I travel to, I would get a tattoo. It would be better than just getting a stamp in my passport. Every tattoo would tell a story. There will be many more milestones to my life and they will be told on my skin. That would be pure awsomeness.

Vacation

Posted June 13th, 2008 at 04:06am

I just got off of leave, which has been like a vacation for me. I'm no longer in Fresno. I did visit Oakland to see some family members and it was there that I found out I didn't have to go to Iraq again for a second time. I was kind of upset at first because I wouldn't be making the extra money, but I guess it was for the better. I won't have to miss this year's snowboaring season and be able to spend my holidays with some friends and family. Oh and there're some conventions coming up next month that I'm hopefully gona be able to attendd. Peace out!

For a Limited Time only!!!

I'm here in Fresno to go hang out with some buddies and some relatives. It's been a long time since I've been here last and lots of things have changed. It really brings back a sense of nolstalga every time I do come down to visit. Who knows, maybe you'll see me down there for those of you on AA that are gonna be in "NoTown." It'll be a short but sweet appearance by yours trully.

Bad Day

Posted May 14th, 2008 at 05:07am

I had a pretty bad day yesterday. It started early in the morning when I was playing soccer with my co-workers and one of them kicked me in my big toe causing the nail to curl backwards exposing my nail bed. It was a pretty painful experience. I headed to the battalion aid station to seek medical treatment. Without any anesthesia, the proceeded to cut what was flipped over and bending my nail back in to position. That was even more painful than the first incident. I was bummed because I had planned to go running later on in the day, but with my bad toe it would be too painful. I thought to myself that it was gonna be okay because I was gonna see a movie after work. Most of the day was pretty uneventful and after work I set out to Irvine to see the movie that was in limited to only certain theaters. I went with my buddy Veasna in a rush to make it to the movie on time and on the way we ate sandwitches at Lee's Sandwitches. We would make it on time to see The Fall, a great movie that was critically acclaimed. The movie cheered me up but it was getting late. When me and Veasna came back to my car, the lights were on. I had no idea that I left my lights on and in desperation I sprinted to my car to turn off the lights. I got in and tried to start it. To my dismay, it choked up and didn't even start because the battery was almost dead. I had to get to work pretty early the next day and was still about forty-five minutes away from the miltary base. I knew no one would carry jumper cables in Irvine because everywhere I looked it seemed like everyone had brand new cars, and there I was with my old nissan that wouldn't start. Luckily I have relatives(cousins) that live in Irvine. I ended up calling them for jumper cables. To my horror they had just recently returned their jumper cables. It just seemed like the odds were against me. My cousin ended up calling a few friends to see if they had any jumper cables but they also didn't have any. I was starting to panic. All the stores around the area were closed already. I had to clear my head so Veasna and I went to the In-N-Out that was across the parking lot. My cousin calls me back saying that he was able to get a hold of some jumper cables and was on his way. It turned out that his brother's girlfriend had a pair of jumper cables and I was finally able to start my car. I had to push my dying car out of the parking lot though so that my cousin could park in a position to jump start my car. That was a real pain. I drove all the way back to base and went to bed really late. I guess it was more like a really bad moring and bad night rather than a whole day. It at least gives me another story to tell in my life.Lol.

Mother's Day

Posted May 12th, 2008 at 04:18am

I was planning to go to Glendale earyly this morning, but I definitely drank to much at the baseball game to wake up early enough to beat traffic. I ended up not going because I slept all morning. I feel bad now that I wasn't able to visit my mom's grave. I'll have to set some time next weekend so I can go visit. Mom's really do need a day to be really appreciated though, because they do so much for their kids. I love my mom and feel bad for those who are on bad terms with their mothers. I wish they could have experienced the love I did from my mom.

Hmong People

Posted May 07th, 2008 at 01:28am

I've been thinking. What state has the largest population of Hmong people? This question has started to perplex me lately. Is it California or is it Minnesota? Who knows it may be some other state all together. I've only met a few that were from other states and I've been surprised time and time again. There are just asian people that live places I never would have thought asians would live. I guess I shouldn't be too surprised since I have relatives that have lived in France thier whole lives. Well that's just what's been on my mind lately.
