So I received these beautiful lilies and roses at work yesterday. My co-worker came to my cubicle and say "hey gurl, you got an emergency at the front desk and you need to hurry up!" I looked at her a little confused and replied, "what do you mean? How is that possible? You're kidding me right?" She tried to keep her face serious and from laughing, "Yeah, it's an emergency so hurry up!" So I quickly rushed to the front desk and the receptionist smiled at me and said "these came for you". They were wrapped so I didn't really see what's inside but they smelled soo nice. I brought them back to my desk and started to unwrap them. To my surprise, they were lilies. I'm used to get roses and this was different...because he knew I loved lilies.
So a few co-workers came to my desk to check them out. One of them was like "OMG, are they real? What did you do now?" I jokingly replied "umm, I made threats" lol. I asked my team leader to come to my desk and when she saw the flowers, her jaw dropped. She was like "so that's where the scent was coming from. We were wondering why it suddenly smelled so good at the office. Man, how come I don't get flowers? I haven't received any from my man for the past 7 years." I felt bad for her. We told her he's doing something wrong, lol, that he ain't treating her right.
Another co-worker said that her husband used to send her flowers after they get into a fight but now that they don't argue anymore he doesn't send them anymore. So I said to her "well then you better go home and start a fight tonight" hehe.
I took them home for the weekend so I can enjoy them at home. Will bring them back to the office on Monday.
Hmm....They are so fragrant! :)
